Here’s some highlights from the roller skating party we’re throwing with MyOpenBar.com here at SXSW. Huge thanks to the kick-ass ladies of the Lonestar Roller Derby for helping regulate and bring the fun on the rink! The good times continue today, so come on out!

Saucony Originals are down in Austin, TX at the SXSW Music Festival having fun with our friends at MyOpenBar.com and Insound.com. Yesterday we spent the afternoon at Insound’s 10th Anniversay Party playing traditional birthday party games like bean bag toss, smashing pinatas and “Pin the Crystal on the Overused Band Name Animal.” You played that one in grade school, right?

While bands including Obits and Hold Steady rocked out on the patio, we awarded party-goers with Free Jazz O’s certificates, sweet Saucony Originals duffel bags and the ever-popular winner/loser headbands.

The pinatas were a smashing success, and we were psyched to hook up the bands with some new sneakers. Here’s American Analog Set — who reunited just for this event! — with their new Saucony Originals.

If you’re in Austin, come hang out with us today at the third day of Down & Derby roller disco and Four Square Punk at the MyOpenBar party at 902 E Cesar Chavez from 2-8pm.

Happy bloggers, bands and music biz folks have been opening their mailboxes to find new Saucony Originals for them to wear on the streets of Austin next week. Some were so happy they just had to tweet:

This outrageous 3 day party promises to be full of excitement & action!
One side of the space features 4 stages of awesome bands trying to out punk each other.
On the other side there is a ROLLER SKATING RINK open all day for three days straight boasting free skate rental, great DJs & disco balls.
Open bar occasionally, cheap drinks all the time.
