As Chicago finally begins to thaw, our winter league draws to a close with next Tuesday’s championship bowling event at Timber Lanes. The season has seen teams MyOpenBar.com and WXRT in the lead, each with two wins including XRT’s shuffleboard win Tuesday night at Weegee’s. Will one of the two leaders emerge as the Winter League Champs next week, or will we have to have a tie-breaking arm wrestling match at the bar afterwards?…

trivia wasn’t really trivia but fun nonetheless. ruffle shuffle truffle duffle - or something like that - was the answer to my question which i naturally got correct. bear’s feet smell like fritos. stinkers! anyways, threadless dominated…. in the beginning. i went to get a drink, and the next thing i knew we were down. the final question - joe runs up with an answer sheet at the same time as a member from myopencheaters.com - the host does a doubletake at joe and decides to give the points to them! they got awarded 10 points for that shit. we ended up losing by 3 points, that’s ok. we don’t plan on giving them any points in the next event.

It will be Chicago’s office teams’ turn to battle it out ping-pong style on Tuesday, March 31st. My Open Bar, who lead with 2 wins, will challenge Threadless at Happy Village at the happy hour of 7pm.

Chicago’s Office Teams discovered that spelling in front of a room of their coworkers was actually a little nerve wracking. Thank god for cold beers and free pizza at Crocodile bar! Somehow it was the heavy drinkers at MyOpenBar.com who walked away the winners of our spelling bee, but will they prevail at our next mental challenge…

The teams reconvene at Crocodile this Tuesday night to battle with their brains once again. This time it will be bar trivia hosted by local comedian Seth Dodson. Good luck Chicago teams!

well pizza and beer anyway - the killer bees are here, somewhere… if the spelling bee was the miss america pageant, we would have been second runners-up! so we’re going with that! besides looking dope, awesome, fly and hot - we learned hey, when you order beer at crocodile bar on milwaukee you get free pizza! probably the most important lesson.we promise to bring the pain - or something to that effect at the trivia bowl! ’cause if there’s one thing we do know - it’s a lot of random trivia that no one else knows… bring it! oh it’s been brought!
