Team Saucony isn’t your typical sports team. It’s a league of true Originals. It’s a place to come together and play the sort of sports that don’t require cleats, pads or helmets. It’s less about the goals you score, and more about the hang.

As our whiffleball games come to a close we reflect on this past week in Chicago with an early reminiscent sparkle in our eye.

Well, after all the trash talking myopenbar.com was doing, one would assume they’d have the guts to back it up. However, we are happy to report that our thrilling, edge-of-your seat game of whiffle ball this week has resulted in a 2 to 1 win for Venus Zine. And hey, myopenbar.com writer, Alan Snider, we read what you wrote on your site about our party and you know what? You can have your snarky comments, but it did nothing to prevent your team from getting beat by a bunch of girls…and looking a lot like this:

The thing about Saucony Originals Summer Office Sports League (or SOSO Sports League), is that the most important thing is having fun. I know that sounds like little league, but it’s a little different. See, the way we want to have fun is to play some not-so-competitive sports in the park for a bit, and then head over to a good bar and fill our booze hole to our liver’s content.
That’s why we were so excited when MyOpenBar.com joined up in Chicago, as aside from offering some highly skilled whiffle ball players and a lot of team “spirits,” they knew where ALL the drink specials were, to maximize our post-game wasted.
