The spelling bee @ Botanica Bee on Friday was nothing short of epic. All teams showed up pretty self conscious about their spelling skills, but quickly felt more comfortable by taking out a big chunk of the bar tab with lots of whiskey.

Sony Music stole the first round with over half their team making it to Round 2. Fader & Matador made the most of their smaller teams & looked really hot while doing it (which, we all know, is more important than knowing how to spell broccoli).

Round 3 showed everyone pretty tied up with almost everyone sending 2 people into the ring of fire. Dave Blend from Thrillist & Stef Chen from Heeb battled words back & forth until our amazing host, Josh Reynolds, said- Enough! It’s time to end this thing!

At this point in time Stef uttered ‘F*ck!’ for the 73rd time that night & Josh issued the final word of the night- eleemosynary. While neither men spelled it correctly it was deemed Heeb came out victorious.

We commend David & Thrillist for taking the loss with civility (kind of).
