It was ugly. Very ugly. The Mighty Mighty Walthomes showed up last Tuesday, and that’s about all they did. It quickly became apparent that the team would struggle throughout the game. The SonicBids had some nice batting practice, thanks to Brian Kramer, Tim Pitta, and Nick Gosselin. Jeff Benanto injured his rotator cuff trying to make plays at third. Andrew Law came up with big plays. Megan Prock and Anna Dreyser held their own against a tough pitching assault. Justin “Draconian” Drake was being unusually severe and cruel as always.Photo #1: The Mighty Mighties swallowed their pride (and some tasty beers) after the game. Nobody was tired, as the team barely exerted themselves.

Photo #2: Fans had a surprise visit from Ben Affleck! He jumped on the field, pulled up his socks, threw on some red gym shorts, and took an at-bat. He’s currently filming a movie close by. The photo is a bit blurry. Female fans enjoyed Ben’s presence.

Photo #3: Do these look like faces of those that would have no mercy on the playing field, or those that would hold the door for you even though you’re a half mile away? Door holders don’t win whiffle ball games.
