The Hot Dog Defense!Watch out it’s Jojo!Trikes of Terror!Winsor, The Master of Beer Pong! The Bumbershoot Saucony Original Bar-lympics Winning Team! The Hot Dogs finally brought back the heat as they dominated Bar-Lympics! Round One: Seattle Weekly and KEXP didn’t stand a chance against the fast and mighty fists of Shaun as he knocked out the competition in a few swift Wii boxing blows. Frog Design was even too scared to show! Round Two: Though the line-up was strong, passing the orange was more difficult than anticipated, The Hot Dogs still held a strong 2nd place position. The Week-lings slid this win past us. Round Three: Triclycle races were a breeze. Once again Mike G. (The Flaxen-haired god) showed his fury as he whirled his partner Gretchen on the  scarlet Trike. Winsor (The Wildman) and Jojo (The French Tyrant) swept through the course like a tornado leaving the Week-lings and KEXP scattered and bewildered. Bonus Round: The beer flowed freely into the mouths of Bumbershoot’s opponents as The Hot Dogs  tipped ping-pong ball after ping-pong ball into the Beer Pong cups. Lee (The Southern Strong-arm) left the week-lings stumbling with her impeccable aim! The Hot Dogs once again claimed Victory! No Matter the Season Bumbershoot takes the  trophy!

We’ll Take “Things We Don’t Know” for $100

by kexp - 04/10/09

Trivia was a fun time and a good stretch of the grey matter. KEXP was lean and mean, three strong, but ready to take on the most challenging questions.

Jack impressed us all by knowing the height of the Space Needle. We were awarded a half point for our answer 605 feet (see below - #4) because we where a few feet within of what the “official” trivia answer was of 603 feet.

After doing a little research I confirmed that 605 feet WAS the correct answer.

I submit as proof the following websites as sources:

With that half point I believe we would have tied for third place with Frog Design.

The cartoon round was a little out of our generation range, well, other than the Schoolhouse Rock.

Color us impressed that someone from the Seattle Weekly could sing all the words for “I’m Just A Bill”!

Team KEXP couldn’t help but notice if we had more heads to glean answers from we would have rocked even harder, as the below chart illustrates:

KEXP doesn’t mind being 4th out of four teams. Thanks to the beer for helping to put things in perspective.

It’s hard to believe that next week is the Championship game.  KEXP is looking forward to making a BIG comeback!

Eastlake Zoo Tavern was a great place for Silvie in Action. We learned the proper form was 1-handed. (ex. Jewell in Proper Form and Proper Form.Although, even with no beer in hand Drea’s Heatin’ Up, some were able to get 4-point Hangovers 4-point Hangover! And while most were used to the Seattle Week-Lings never winning a game, we pulled out a perfect 3-0 win over the “never losing” Bumbershoot The 1st of Many Wins! (That’s us in Red) The highlight of the night was winning a game after being down 14-2. Our secret? Dance Floor Wax A great night seemed to be had by all. I think we’ve taught Bumbershoot how to lose well. It really is an art.Co-Mingling 100_2614.jpg Thanks for such a great night, everyone!
